And this is what I did earlier this week: we got up at 315AM to get together at 345AM and then walked to the lake to see the pre-dawn darkness then the full effect of the sunrise... It was wonderful, then i had a full day(including a nap) of work. Hurray!!

Kentucky a few times, museums and end of year Boats

So I have been out of town a lot lately... here is a random out of order smattering of what i've been up to.

these were the expressions we had during the majority of the trip to the Creation Museum in Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati

In the background with the plants there are a variety of animals including a penguin.

In the creation museum.. there are dinosaurs, of course
Isabel, Lisa and me on the boat... see i took the jacket off.
Before the boat
Me with Neema and Gulu on the right, after/during the engagement ceremony, this was also in Kentucky.

Louisville/Shelbyville was fantastic. It was a beautiful three days in a really picturesque, bucolic environment.... yea, GRE wasn't for nothing! (plus how often does one get say bucolic? I am indeed very glad I splurged at the spur of the moment and went to Gulu and Neema's Engagement party.

more later ....

More organ music this afternoon, it should be fun and nice. I've been spending a lot of time in Rockefeller Chapel lately with tea and pipes on Tuesdays and now organ concerts. follow the link for more information on the event:

On Saturday, June 6 at 4 p.m., a glorious gala concert with the world premiere of Gene Scheer's “Albert Schweitzer Portrait,” performed on the E.M. Skinner pipe organ ...

Here is an article about the Carillon, the second largest in the world. and then another about pipe-organs. The pipe organ's aren't ours, but the article is really interesting!

Next time I'll get a photo of the outside... this is the inside we were up on the side balcony near the altar/front/organ/stage. These photos don't do the stained glass justice, unfortunately... I guess you'll just have to see for yourself.

This was directly across from where we were sitting. My favorite window is at the very end to the left(not shown) that one has a vibrant red floral thing.

And finally the next photo is of the organ! Lisa took the photo, I was there with her and Mark. There was another photo where I don't look as sassy, but I prefer this photo, it's more true to life, no?
