let's start at the beginning

Finally I post again. Sorry. Email me to remind me to take more photos! This is outside my house. My little plants are growing quite well. Photo taken in September.

This is a fountain/park next to the Art Institute in Grant Park, this was taken in the last few days of October, before halloween

This is an oldie. My back yard from my back porch taken in early september.

See, I don't live underground anymore, this was taken very soon after I moved in to my new place. i love my roommates(mostly) they are a really sweet group of people and we get along well.
This was one of the last photos i took while i was in Cincinnatti. This bridge called "the purple people bridge" is one of many that crosses the ohio river between Kentucky and Ohio. We are heading north here. This is a pedestrian only bridge that connects a little municipality/businessy district to cincinnati's downtown. Along the river there are wonderful little parks and trails.

This is just random tree that I caught a snapshot of on the day when Joey and I were leaving his house and were on our way to Louisville.(down the block from his house)
My first day in Cincinnati we went to Krohn Conservatory. It was a smallish conservatory with several different greenhouse-type buildings, this is in the desert environment, there was also a jungle room, a fern room, an orchid room, and a bonsai room.
This was in the "jungle room"
\

This was a neat looking plant that reminded me of inside-out corn, this was in teh fern room.

And that's it. I tend to like to take photos of things rather than of people, so no nice photos of people this time, i'll work on it and try to take photos of people once in a while!

Ben got an accordian
I still go to my old coffee shop once in a while, Third world, there is my bicycle on the bike rack

I was walking around after volunteering one day and thought this was Very asymmetrical and took a picture.

Constantinos had a housewarming party and set up Delicious Cypriot food for us-- And labeled everything, too!
This is Rockefellar Chapel, where the graduation ceremony took place. It looks wonderful at night, no? especially since it was cloudy this day.

One day i found this scene at Daley Plaza. a marching band. (a pep rally, i'm guessing, it reminded me of harlandale)

This is an art festival in Humboldt Park(predominantly a puerto rican neighborhood)

This is on the 'river walk' on the chicago river, again, after volunteering, before work.

so i was supposed to take a photograph everyday...

I pretty much did not do that, but I did accumulate quite a random collection of photos, here is a sample of my favorite:

This is in my house, Blanca gave me the hot-air-balloon mobile for my birthday this year, luckily i have pipes on my ceiling to hold them up.

This is Kluczynski Plaza. The sculpture is called the Flamingo by Alexander Calder. This is just a few blocks away from where I work, I came here that day to finish my coffee and eat a peanutbutter and honey sandwich.
This is my A/C. it is very effective.
We had a day out at the beach... (those two people on the bench I actually know... they're friends of a friend that were visiting... afterwards we rode our bicycles downtown for critical mass.)
This is the Ogilive Train station. we took a train from here north to see a concert at Ravinia Park a neat outdoor venue.
This is from the Daley Plaza where the bicyclists gather before we go on the big ride through the city.

That' s all.. sorry I haven't been updating as much lately!

Well. Wednesday means a brown bag lunch meeting with my preceptor group. We will all meet up an talk about our theses. My final draft should be in by the end of this week. And by final draft I mean the last time I turn in a paper at all. Work search is going much better than the last time I spoke with ya'll. How did people do it before the internet?

I have a couple of photos, they will be posted soon, perhaps.

Kentucky a few times, museums and end of year Boats

So I have been out of town a lot lately... here is a random out of order smattering of what i've been up to.

these were the expressions we had during the majority of the trip to the Creation Museum in Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati

In the background with the plants there are a variety of animals including a penguin.

In the creation museum.. there are dinosaurs, of course
Isabel, Lisa and me on the boat... see i took the jacket off.
Before the boat
Me with Neema and Gulu on the right, after/during the engagement ceremony, this was also in Kentucky.
